The hotel was located just off the Castle, loch and a great restaurant, The Old School, a taxi to/from restaurants, and a spectacular island. I've been here for 3 nights, the breakfast was overall incredible with local smoked salmon. The service provided there was excellent! I had a nice experience and would love to come back, thoroughly enjoyed the city and venue.

    dinner menu
    lack of hospitality

I almost thought about giving a good review, but the dinner menu was nothing short of a joke-cheese boards and jacket potatoes? Seriously? Plus, the lack of a cute gift for my stay was almost disgraceful. I expected a bit more for my 5 nights here, especially at those prices.

    cozy, cozy, cozy

The cozy lounge with a log burner created the perfect atmosphere. We indulged in delicious artisan dinners that were both hearty and creatively presented, a highlight of our stay. Waking up to a locally sourced breakfast with fresh yogurt was a good treat!

    strongly recommend 😊❤️

Some guests faced issues with noise disturbances from nearby rooms and common areas, which might detract from the usual tranquility. The limited dinner menu, particularly on certain evenings, was a letdown, especially for those hoping for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Plus, the Wi-Fi connectivity was inconsistent, a nuisance when you're trying to catch up on things.

    locally sourced breakfast
    cozy lounge
    cold platters
    limited hot meal options

The culinary adventure at Atholl House alone makes it worth a visit! Their breakfast features scrumptious locally sourced options that hit the spot. After long days hiking the Isle, the cozy lounge is like a warm hug.

Saturday night meals were a bit lackluster-who wants cold platters after a day battling the elements? A nice hot meal would have been a treat.

    cozy atmosphere

    attentive staff
    awkward toilet door
    narrow hallway

We loved the warm and cozy atmosphere, especially the snug with its inviting fireplace. The dining experience was really good, with a variety of delicious meals, including breakfast options that went beyond traditional fare. The staff was attentive! We also appreciated the beautiful views of the nearby sheep and sea.

The toilet door near our room was a bit awkward.

    cozy comfort
    delicious breakfast
    long wait times
    noise disturbances
    interrupted tranquility

The room offered cozy comfort with a bed, made winding down easy after exploring the nearby attractions. Breakfast was a standout, with fresh fruits and delicious whole wheat bread rolls. Although the restaurant offered delectable dishes, wait times for meals were longer than anticipated. The lounge was a relaxing space, but we encountered noise disturbances that occasionally interrupted the tranquil atmosphere.
